QUESTION: As a customer, do I have to buy a discount card or carry a coupon to take advantage of the Savour York Region fixed menu?

ANSWER: No. You simply make reservations at the participating restaurant of your choice during the specified time period. A Savour York Region menu will be included and available to you once you arrive. There are no coupons to carry, cards to punch or passes to buy.

QUESTION: How far in advance can I make reservations, and for large parties, will I have to leave a credit card?

ANSWER: Reservations are now being accepted by calling the restaurant of your choice directly. Due to the diversity of the restaurants participating, along with an increased demand, some establishments may ask for a credit card reservation for parties of 8 or more. Inquire at each establishment for their policy on this matter. However, on the Friday and Saturday evening of the Savour York Region event offering, parties of 6 or more will require a credit card to avoid cancellations and missed reservations.  Please view individual restaurants to view any additional black-out periods.

QUESTION: Will patrons be able to order items from the regular menu if they are not interested in the pre-fixed Savour York Region menu?

ANSWER: Yes they will. Patrons will have to remember however, that they may wait longer if they are just ordering a main course and the company they are dining with will have three courses from the fixed menu. In most other cities once demand has reached capacity and venues become very busy, many restaurants opt just to feature the fixed menu during the “restaurant week” specified.

QUESTION: Will each restaurant have a $25, $30 and $35 menu available to choose from?

ANSWER: No they will not. Each restaurant will offer one of the three available price points. The popularity and success of “restaurant weeks” worldwide is because of the opportunity to sample a restaurant’s cuisine at a set , affordable price.

QUESTION: Do I still have to pay taxes and gratuity? Are any drinks included with the meal?

ANSWER: Taxes, gratuity and beverages are all additional. There will be a featured wine list, either by the glass or the bottle at each restaurant, along with their usual beverage choices.

QUESTION: Are there choices in a Savour York Region pre-fixed menu?

ANSWER: Yes there is. In general, a restaurant will offer a choice of 2 appetizers, 2 or 3 main dishes, and 2 desserts in attempt to satisfy most tastebuds! Menus are available to view through our website so you can prepare ahead. Please advise your server if there are any allergies they need to be aware of.

Making reservations

QUESTION: How far in advance can I make reservations?

ANSWER: You can make a reservation as early as a week.  Due to popular demand, reservations earlier than that will not be accepted. This is to ensure that every interested customer gets the chance to enjoy our services and to avoid possible last-minute cancellations. You can make reservations by directly calling the restaurant of your choice.

QUESTION: Can I still cancel my reservation if I change my mind?

ANSWER: To give other interested customers the chance to avail our services, we accept cancellation of reservations. However, please note that this will affect the reservations that will be made in the future. With this, we will have to prioritize customers with no records of previous cancellations to avoid the same mishap.

QUESTION: Will I get a refund after I cancel my reservation?

ANSWER: No. Our policies provide that all payments made before and after the reservation are non-refundable.

QUESTION: Do I have to pay to cancel my reservation?

ANSWER: Yes. Payment for cancellations will depend on the number of days left before the date of appointment and the number of seats reserved, including the table area. Tables located in areas such as the garden or room corner may be priced higher than regular ones. This will be discussed with the customer upon cancellation. ANSWER: Yes. Just let our staff know your orders, and they will gladly prepare it for you as you eat so that it will be ready when you’re done!

QUESTION: Can I order food to-go without dining in?

ANSWER: No. We are currently working on making this possible so that more customers can avail of the delicious food. For now, our services are limited to providing to-go order to customers who have dined in. 

However, some restaurants can make exceptions. Please refer to the particular restaurant that you wish to order from for a more certain response.

Making payments

QUESTION: Do I still have to pay taxes and gratuity? 

ANSWER: Yes. Taxes and gratuity are not included in the meal prices and must be paid separately.

QUESTION: Can I pay with cash?

ANSWER: Yes. Cash payments are accepted.

QUESTION: Can I pay with a credit card?

ANSWER: Yes. Our restaurants also accept credit card payments.

QUESTION: If I run out of cash, can I pay half with cash and the other half with a credit card?

ANSWER: Yes, our friendly staff will help you settle your balance.

Dear Savour Vaughan;

I would like to thank you for having this wonderful collection of restaurants available once a year, it would be nice to make it available as well in the spring as it would be equally enjoyable that time of year… It is fun to try new restaurants close to home and enjoy an evening out with friends and family. Also, having the option to choose from menus and price points before going to a restaurant is a big plus in avoiding disappointment. We tried several restaurants this year and enjoyed every moment of it.

I’m writing to let you know how wonderful our savour vaughan dinners were at Eddy’s tonight … We were all very happy with our dinners. the portions served were generous … we were very impressed with the size of the portions of the tiramisu … the service was fantastic. water was continually refilled and coffee and tea were repeatedly offered.

Thank you for bringing “summerlicious and winterlicious” to York Region. I wish you lots of continued success as your “savior” program continues to grow.

The more days this program can last, the longer I can stay out of my kitchen!

We chose G BISTRO & PATIO and it was off the charts. From the front of the house to all the servers on the floor…EXCELLENT. Now for the food…. Super hot and well presented ( I had the 120z Veal Chop-the rest of my family had the surf and turf). Clean exact flavours and more. BUT WAIT! I had a request that I made to the front of the house. During my reservation about substituting one of the SYR dessert choices for my daughter with their popular CHOCOLATE LAVA…she said NO PROBLEM. Not only did they sub it at no charge, she remembered and approached me after our meal to make sure our experience was to our liking. The place has tons going for it. We will be back and more importantly…tell our foodie friends. Keep up the amazing work.
